THE OLIVE BRANCH BISTROGEORGE IV BRIDGE NOW OPEN The olive branch team have opened a third Bistro in the heart of the city’s old town. Located on George IV Bridge, it has a small deli / takeaway upstairs catering for breakfasts, freshly made sandwiches, salads, pastries & drinks, where you can sit in or take it away. Downstairs via the external metal staircase, you will discover our bistro, which can cater for 50 diners. This bright, converted warehouse with high ceilings has a lively New York feel to it. The perfect venue to hide away for a long breakfast, light lunch or relax over a bottle of wine and dinner. The kitchen is headed up by Eden Sinclair, former head chef of The Glasshouse in Eskmills, and previously at The Tower restaurant. His menu style and quality is a welcome addition to our team. Out front, the floor staff are lead by Michaela Monteith. Michaela has worked in prestigious venues such as, Hallion, Rick’s, The Gallery restaurant & Bar, Zinc Bar & Grill and latterly The Glasshouse at Eskmills.

Theatre & cinema offers
Broughton Street Olive branch is only a 5 minute walk from the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre and the Vue cinema complex, whilst Bruntsfield Olive branch is located 10 minutes from the Kings Theatre and 5 minutes from the Dominion cinema. The new addtion at George IV is only 10minutes from the festival theatre. Fantastic shows & films at all these outlets in the coming months. Enjoy a pre or post show / film meal with us and we will discount your total bill by 10%. All we ask is that you present your ticket for that night to the waiter before asking for the bill. Why not have your starter & main before the show, and have your pudding and coffee after the show. Let the staff know you plan to do this at the time of booking. PLEASE LET THE STAFF KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO A SHOW, SO WE CAN MAKE SURE YOU GET TO YOUR SHOW ON TIME.
