New Era at the Olive Branch
The Olive Branch Bistro is under new ownership. The restaurant, which opened in 2003, was taken over at the end of 2011 by a local family.
David and Marion Young, along with their son Adam who is a chef, acquired the business in November of last year. Adam said: “The Olive Branch Bistro has been well loved for many years and we’re delighted to be able to continue its success. Our focus is on offering good quality, locally sourced food in a friendly and relaxed environment. The Olive Branch is well known for being a neighbourhood favourite and we want to build on that. We have an extremely hard-working and experienced team – many who have worked here for several years – which has helped us get off to a great start. We’re very excited about what the future holds for the Olive Branch.”
Since taking over the business, the family has begun refurbishment of the bistro and kitchen, as well as working with the current chefs to enhance the menus, focussing on established favourites and seasonal ingredients and offering imaginative specials.
